A New Website
The Milwaukee Repeater Club is excited to announce the launch of our newly redesigned website.
What began as an effort to modernize our online presence quickly grew into a complete redevelopment project. The result is a website featuring more than 22 new pages of original content, updated graphics, a new logo, improved navigation, standardized forms and net control scripts, and a fresh, modern design that better represents our club and the amateur radio community we serve.
Most importantly, the new website tells the story of who we are, what we do, and why the Milwaukee Repeater Club continues to be one of the most active amateur radio organizations in Southeastern Wisconsin.
Showcasing Activity on the Air
At the heart of the Milwaukee Repeater Club are our nightly nets.
With activities taking place seven nights a week, the club provides opportunities for licensed amateurs of all experience levels to get on the air, develop operating skills, stay connected, and enjoy amateur radio. One of the primary goals of the new website was to make these activities easier to find and promote the many opportunities available through the club.
Whether you’re a newly licensed operator looking for your first contact, a seasoned ham searching for regular on-air activity, or someone interested in connecting with local operators, the website makes it clear that there’s always something happening on MRC91.
Supporting the MRC91 Repeater
The Milwaukee Repeater Club is proud to own, operate, and support the MRC91 repeater system.
For decades, MRC91 has provided reliable communications and served as a gathering place for amateur radio operators throughout the Milwaukee area and beyond. The repeater continues to be a valuable resource for daily communications, club activities, training, public service, and emergency preparedness.
The redesigned website places greater emphasis on MRC91, making it easier for operators to find repeater information, learn about club activities, and discover how they can participate in and support the system that helps bring our amateur radio community together.
Known as “The Friendly One”
Within local amateur radio circles, the Milwaukee Repeater Club has earned a reputation as “The Friendly One.”
That reputation comes from the people who make up our club. For generations, members have welcomed new operators, offered guidance and encouragement, and helped fellow amateurs develop their skills and confidence on the air.
The new website was built with that same spirit in mind. Every page was designed to be informative, inviting, and easy to use while reflecting the character, values, and community-focused mission of the Milwaukee Repeater Club.
Promoting Amateur Radio in Southeastern Wisconsin
The Milwaukee Repeater Club has always stood for more than simply maintaining a repeater.
A major goal of the website redesign was to help promote amateur radio throughout Milwaukee and Southeastern Wisconsin. The site provides resources for prospective operators, information about licensing, club activities, operating opportunities, and guidance for those interested in becoming involved in the hobby.
By making information more accessible and easier to understand, we hope to encourage more people to discover amateur radio and become active participants in our local amateur radio community.
Building Membership and Strengthening Community
For many visitors, a website provides the first introduction to a club.
Whether someone is searching for a local repeater, exploring amateur radio for the first time, or considering club membership, we wanted our website to create a positive and lasting impression.
The redesigned site not only provides information but also demonstrates what makes the Milwaukee Repeater Club special:
- Active nets seven nights a week.
- A reliable and well-supported repeater system.
- Dedicated and knowledgeable members.
- A welcoming atmosphere for operators of all experience levels.
- A commitment to growing amateur radio in our region.
The website serves as an important tool for membership growth while helping visitors connect with the many opportunities available through the Milwaukee Repeater Club.
