When most of the scheduled nets have signed off, and the airwaves begin to quiet down, the conversation is just getting started on the 91 After Dark.

Held every Friday night at Midnight on the MRC91 repeater, this self-hosted social net is designed for night owls, late-shift workers, insomniacs, and anyone who enjoys great conversation after hours.

There is no formal topic, schedule, or agenda—just amateur radio operators gathering to discuss whatever happens to be on their minds.

What Do We Talk About?

The simple answer is: just about anything.

Topics often include:

• Amateur radio projects and operating experiences
• Technology and electronics
• Current events and local happenings
• Weather and travel stories
• Club activities and upcoming events
• Favorite hobbies and interests
• Late-night random discussions
• Life experiences and stories from the road

No two nights are exactly the same, which is part of what makes the net so much fun.

A Relaxed Atmosphere

The 91 After Dark Net is intended to be casual, friendly, and welcoming. Whether you’re headed home from work, winding down after a long week, or simply not ready to call it a night, you’ll find plenty of good conversation and fellowship on the repeater.

Operators are encouraged to check in, share what’s on their mind, and enjoy the company of fellow hams from across southeastern Wisconsin and beyond.
